So I was introduced to the Stephenie Meyer "Twilight Series" yesterday...I had no idea!! Am I that much out of the loop?? Apparently...these books are the hottest rage right now...aimed directly at 17 year old girls and 30 something women...okay maybe not the thirty somethings...but still...
There's also a movie in the works. Now I've seen the trailer for the movie and either I was sleeping or talking to my friend in the theater because for some reason, I didn't get that it was about vampires...watching the trailer now...the trailer clearly states that it's about vampires...Out of the loop AGAIN!!
I am admittedly addicted to the new HBO series "True Blood"...much to Spouse Greg's dismay (He doesn't get it)...and it seems to have the same premise of these books...sexy vampire...Innocent girl...and true love!! But did you ever notice that the "Vampire thing" comes around every few years...we love them...read about them (Anne Rice)...make movies about them (Brad Pitt - Tom Cruise)...and then move on to something else...only to have them resurface in force a few years later!
So here's my question...do you have children that are "into" the Twilight Series?? Have YOU read them?? And...WHY DIDN'T I KNOW ABOUT THIS?!?!?!?!
Please tell me I'm not the only one....
