Okay...maybe I don't HATE them...Hate is a pretty strong word! But I decided today that it was time to clean out the tree/flower...whatever area in the backyard. With all of the rain we've had lately...it was starting to look like the jungle! So I trimmed the trees...cleared the weeds and discovered that we have rose buses that have vines that are...and I'm not kidding...at least 10 feet long! So the big "wrap around" began. They are now wound around the top of our fence...but in the meantime....I was ATTACKED! tangled in 12 inch thorns...unable to escape. OK...maybe I'm exaggerating a little, but I really did have to have Spouse Greg untangle me from the branches! Ridiculous. 
I also took the time to plant a garden today. I may have started too late...but we'll see what happens. I will be happy if I get one tomato, one cucumber and maybe one jalapeno....is that too much to ask. I hope that I get something!
I am open to suggestions....because we all know...I need all the help I can get!!
And as a final note...coolest thing ever...I put 2000 ladybugs in my tree/flower/and now garden area! It was so cool...opened the package and they all spread up my arms...had to brush them off in to the leaves...bugs usually freak me out...but no ladybugs...still a beetle...but they are prettier than the average beetle!!
