American Idol

So I have to admit I am currently sucked in to American Idol. I'm hoping that we see another Carrie Underwood come out of this season. I have to say that these folk that sing on the audition show have soooo much more "moxie" than I have ever had. I can't sing and I know I can't sing. I would never never never get on national TV and pretend I could...Moxie!!!!

But what is the deal with the fourth judge...if I were Paula...I may be a little worried! I had no idea who she was...I had no idea that she had written hat I songs for Jewel, Carrie, David Cook and Kelly Clarkson. Here's what I found on her:

Though she had been involved in past seasons of American Idol – she co-wrote Kelly Clarkson’s Walk Away, The Real Thing by Season Four runner-up Bo Bice and The Way with Clay Aiken, has written with and for Katherine McPhee and has a song (To Be With You) on last season’s winner David Archuleta’s new CD – DioGuardi had no inkling she was being scouted as a judge.DioGuardi has been dubbed one of the industry’s most sought-after songwriters and producers, and has been recorded by such Grammy-winning artists as Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani, Celine Dion, Santana and Pink.
She has been awarded 10 BMI Pop Awards for having written the most performed songs on radio in the last four years.
From her catalogue of several hundred songs, over 264 have been released on major labels worldwide; and over 165 have appeared on multi-platinum selling albums. DioGuardi also co-owns Arthouse Entertainment, where she develops and mentors fellow hit writers, producers and artists.
